We’re looking for an experienced and creative product designer to join our growing UX team! As a member of the creative squad you will take ownership of key features from concept to production and play a critical role in evolving our UX culture.
What you’ll do:
- Join our design team of 6 and help us shape the future of our Muslim marriage app. As a Product Designer, you’ll be a key player in our team, improving our processes, and collaborating closely with other departments.
- Lead design projects: Take ownership of your designs from start to finish, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and align with our product vision.
- Mentor and guide: Share your knowledge and experience with our junior and mid-level designers, helping them grow their skills and become the best designers they can be.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure our app meets the needs of our Muslim users.
- Improve design processes: Identify bottlenecks and develop new strategies to streamline our workflow, making us more efficient and effective.
- Embrace data-driven design: Use data to inform your design decisions, creating an app that truly resonates with our Muslim community.
- Create visually stunning and engaging designs: Develop impactful and engaging UI animations that elevate our UX and bring our app to life.
- Maintain our design system: Actively contribute to and maintain our design system, ensuring consistency and efficiency across our product.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends: Keep abreast of the latest design trends and technologies to continuously improve our product.
What we're looking for:
- Strong soft skills: Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a knack for organization are essential.
- Industry experience: At least 3 years of experience in product design, preferably in B2C.
- A passion for design: You should be excited about creating beautiful and functional products that solve real problems.
- A team player: We’re a close-knit team, and we value individuals who are willing to collaborate and support their colleagues.
- Cultural sensitivity: Understanding and respecting Muslim culture and traditions is crucial for this role.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a product designer, UX/UI designer, interaction designer of cross-platform experiences.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating your experience with end-to-end product design. Case studies should cover the problems you worked on, the process to solve the problems and the impact made.
- Proficient in Figma & creating dynamic prototypes.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design (for both mobile and web), UX principles and best practices.
Bonus Points:
- Proven familiarity with Material Design and Apple’s HIG.
- Experience within the marriage or dating industry.
- Past experience working in a fast-moving startup.
