Did you see one of our viral campaigns, like findmohamedawife.com? Or maybe you know one of the 800,000 couples who met through Muzz? Whatever brought you here, now’s the perfect time to join a team on its way to becoming the first billion-dollar Muslim app. We’re looking for an ambitious Growth SEO Manager to drive the growth of Muzz.com.

You’ll own our global SEO strategy end-to-end, from technical health and content to how Muzz shows up in a search landscape being rapidly reshaped by AI. This isn’t a role where you’ll simply monitor rankings and send monthly reports. You’ll own our website as a product, SEO roadmap, identify growth opportunities, work directly with Product and Engineering to ship improvements and build SEO into a meaningful acquisition channel for Muzz.

If you love figuring out how people discover things, turning search behaviour into growth opportunities and staying ahead of where search is going next, this could be the role for you.

  • 4+ years of SEO experience with a proven track record of growing organic traffic, conversions and/or signups.
  • Strong technical SEO expertise, including site architecture, indexing, crawlability, internal linking, structured data/schema, metadata and Core Web Vitals.
  • Strong understanding of on-page and content SEO, including keyword and entity research, content briefs, landing-page optimisation and evergreen content.
  • Experience developing and executing SEO strategies across multiple international markets and languages.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Search Console, Google Analytics and third-party SEO tools such as Semrush, Ahrefs or similar.
  • Strong understanding of AI Search and how it is changing organic discovery, including AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity.
  • A clear point of view on how brands can improve their visibility and earn citations in AI-generated answers.
  • Familiarity with measuring AI visibility through metrics such as citation frequency, share of voice and sentiment, using tools such as Semrush’s AI toolkit, SE Ranking, Profound or Nozzle.
  • Solid understanding of off-page SEO, including backlinks, digital PR, outreach and link-building strategies.
  • Comfortable working directly with Product and Engineering teams, translating SEO requirements into actionable technical improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn search data into clear priorities and growth opportunities.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to manage a roadmap and get things shipped.
  • A strong growth mindset. You’re interested in the commercial impact of SEO, not just rankings and traffic.
  • Curious, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment where the playbook isn’t always written yet.

Day to day:

  • Own Muzz’s global SEO strategy, roadmap and priorities across key markets.
  • Grow organic traffic, website signups and SEO-driven acquisition across Muzz.com.
  • Identify and prioritise SEO opportunities through keyword, competitor, search intent and market research.
  • Improve technical SEO, including site architecture, indexing, crawlability, internal linking, metadata, schema and Core Web Vitals.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to identify, prioritise and ship SEO improvements.
  • Own the SEO content strategy across landing pages, evergreen content and the blog.
  • Create content briefs and optimise existing content based on search intent, keywords, entities and competitive opportunities.
  • Partner with local Marketing Specialists to adapt SEO content for different markets, languages and audiences.
  • Develop Muzz’s approach to AI Search and improve visibility across Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and other emerging search platforms.
  • Monitor AI visibility, including citation frequency, share of voice and sentiment, and identify opportunities to improve Muzz’s presence.
  • Develop off-page SEO strategies across backlinks, digital PR, outreach and partnerships.
  • Monitor rankings, organic traffic, conversions, signups and other SEO performance metrics.
  • Use tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics and third-party SEO platforms to identify issues and growth opportunities.
  • Report on SEO performance, communicate key insights and turn learnings into clear actions.
  • Work with the Performance Marketing team to make Muzz.com a meaningful and efficient acquisition channel.
  • Continuously test, learn and adapt the SEO strategy as search behaviour and technology evolve.

Must-Haves:

  • Technical SEO expertise: You have the technical knowledge to own site architecture, indexing, crawlability, schema, internal linking and Core Web Vitals, and can confidently work with engineers to get improvements shipped.
  • Growth & analytical mindset: You don’t optimize for rankings for the sake of rankings. You understand how organic traffic translates into signups and growth, and can use data to prioritise the work that will have the biggest impact.
  • AI Search expertise: You understand how AI is changing search and have a clear perspective on how brands can earn visibility and citations across AI-powered search experiences.
  • Ownership & stakeholder management: You can own an SEO roadmap from strategy through execution, communicate clearly with Product, Engineering and Marketing teams, and get things over the line in a fast-moving environment.

Why join Muzz?

  • We’re a profitable Consumer Tech startup, backed by Y Combinator (S17) and based in London.
  • Join our fast growing team and work on an amazing product that’s changing the world.
  • A great product: We’re the leading app in this space with over 12 million members worldwide and counting!
  • Work with talented, generous people on the kinds of challenges you’ll be proud to share.
