Muzz is the largest Muslim marriage app in the world, matching over 800k marriages since launching over 10 years ago. The company has over 170 employees, and 40+ marketers, across the globe and is headquartered in London. We are looking for a passionate and experienced marketing leader to own our marketing and growth efforts in the UK. Reporting into the European Regional Lead, you will be responsible for developing a comprehensive marketing strategy for the UK across all available channels as well as managing a small team and the largest country marketing budget in the company.
An experienced and passionate marketing leader who is comfortable developing and being hands-on in the execution of a country-wide marketing strategy. You are strong on the brand and content side of marketing but also understand how to measure success with data and possess excellent budget management and cost control skills. You know how to create high-quality content across all media types that elevates the brand and cuts through the noise of the social platforms. You are from a consumer background and, in particular, have experience with consumer-focused / lifestyle apps or tech start-ups. You are comfortable working across all marketing channels within the UK from app stores to website to social to in-app to OOH and ATL.
You are a master at executing well coordinated, well planned and well budgeted marketing campaigns that achieve a standard of creative excellence to match the prestige of the brand, and deliver proven impact to our key marketing metrics. You are an excellent communicator and people manager and are comfortable engaging across functions, and across time zones, to be able to deliver on your plans. You are results oriented and thrive in an environment that has well-defined KPIs and ambitious targets and rewards people for hitting those targets. You can deliver high impact, original creatives that set the standard and position us as a leading brand with younger UK Muslims. You have a proven track record of delivering successful multi-channel campaigns that deliver on brand awareness, user acquisition, retention and audience engagement. You are able to drive growth across all of our key KPIs and are comfortable reporting progress to senior stakeholders in the business.
Day to day
- Oversee all UK marketing operations and campaigns.
- Lead the brand and marketing efforts for the whole of the UK.
- Manage a team of two marketing specialists in your direct line.
- Collaborate with your UK creative and performance marketing resources.
- Cost control and budget management.
- Drive quality and frequency of brand and creative output.
- Measure and report on performance of brand activities.
- Keep up to date on your country dashboards and flag any issues alerted by the data.
- Build the content strategy and content plan for the UK.
- Forward planning of UK marketing events and campaigns.
- Deal making and media buying for UK campaigns where necessary.
- Work collaboratively and cross functionally with data science, product marketing, brand and studio teams to drive progress against key business objectives.
- Focus on driving the growth of key UK metrics and KPIs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of consumer brand marketing experience, a big plus if that experience is within a consumer app or tech startup.
- A proven track record as a marketing leader with direct experience leading accountable multi-channel marketing campaigns in the UK.
- A highly creative professional, able to create impactful, brand-forward content across all content types and social platforms.
- A strong grasp of data, tracking and analytics, with an ability to measure all marketing effort and spend accordingly.
- Thrives in a fast paced environment and has the ability to work to tight deadlines, adjust to changes in priorities, and balance short term needs with long term strategic initiatives.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills with excellent communication, management and interpersonal skills.
- A solid understanding of the Muslim culture and how to position Muzz as a leading brand amongst younger UK Muslims.
