Key Responsibilities:
- Trade Investment Grade, Financials and Emerging Markets with the ability to back up High Yield and Loans.
- Trade hedging tools including credit, equity and interest rate derivatives.
- Manage trade bookings and their life cycle.
- Liaise with counterparties and Back Office.
- Data management of desk analytics.
- Track and monitor market moves, themes, and technicals for both primary and secondary to provide internal commentary.
- Working with the Investment team – PMs/Research/Strategy - to help continue the successful growth of the business.
- Work closely with the broader teams – Sales, Risk, Compliance – to leverage their relationships, time and expertise in communicating with existing and potential clients.
- Ad-hoc duties/projects as required.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Solid understanding of financial markets.
- Relevant investment management/finance industry experience, buy/sell side experience preferred.
- Self–motivated, self-starter and team player, with a strong work ethic, able to integrate and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and as part of a global team.
- Analytical and detail orientated with high levels of quantitative skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills: presentation, writing and oral.
- Experience of trading platforms such as Bloomberg/Market Axess a plus.
- Experience of Microsoft Office.
- University degree in Finance/Economics (and/or post graduate finance study) seen as a plus.
