Following five years of significant growth, Mutti is now the No.2 brand in ambient tomatoes in the UK, aiming to become the No.1 by 2028. We are seeking a proactive Category Manager to support our vision for UK category premiumization and retail growth.

Main responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with UK data providers and deliver monthly market and key account reports.
  • Track business performance, including distribution, online/convenience share, and NPD.
  • Analyze sales, consumer, and shopper data for insights to support business development in the UK and Irish markets.
  • Support the development of sales stories and NPD listings to support brand growth.
  • Build strong relationships with customers to position Mutti as a strategic supplier.
  • Manage category processes for Tomatoes & Pasta Sauces with assigned customers, including range changes and reviews.
  • Collaborate with customers to define action plans supporting growth ambitions.
  • Visit stores to observe execution, competitor activity, and best practices to drive improvements.
  • Assist in developing shopper marketing, promo plans, and NPD launches based on insights.

What we are looking for:

An individual with FMCG experience and a broad understanding of UK grocery commercial marketing, ideally in customer marketing, category management, retail execution, account management, or business planning. The candidate should have a growth mindset and adaptability to a fast-paced SME environment.

  • Experience in FMCG trade, marketing, insights, or planning roles.
  • Knowledge of the UK CPG and retail landscape.
  • Curiosity across cross-functional interests.
  • Strong analytical skills, including Nielsen and customer data, and Excel proficiency.
  • Excellent storytelling, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing category range reviews in grocery.
  • Passion for high-quality food brands and health/environmental benefits.
  • Quality focus, pace, and a growth mindset.

Position Details:

  • Location: Office-based with flexible work (minimum 2-3 days/week in London), occasional travel to High Wycombe and Italy.
