Hybrid – London office 1–2 days a week | Full‑time | Reporting to: Head of e Commerce

We are looking for a Digital Optimisation Manager to lead the continuous improvement of Musto. com.

You will understand our business objectives, customer needs and technical capabilities, using data, insight and collaboration to prioritise website improvements that deliver measurable commercial value.

The Digital Optimisation Manager will own the website optimisation roadmap, manage and prioritise the digital development backlog, lead our A/B testing and experimentation programme, and work closely with our development partners and internal stakeholders to maximise the performance of our digital experience.

You will combine strong commercial awareness with UX best practice to ensure every improvement reflects the Musto brand, enhances the customer journey and supports the continued growth of our ecommerce business.

  • Role and Responsibilities
  • Work closely with our development team and project management teams to manage and prioritise all development tasks with the aim of improving the end‑to‑end customer experience.
  • Own and prioritise the digital development backlog, ensuring development resource is focused on the highest‑value customer and commercial opportunities.
  • Act as Product Owner for the website, balancing BAU activity, bug fixes, technical improvements and optimisation initiatives.
  • Facilitate the vision of digital projects through research, customer insight, wireframing, prototyping and testing.
  • Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys and mock‑ups where appropriate to communicate ideas and solutions.
  • Take a customer‑centred approach to optimisation, continuously testing, learning and iterating improvements.
  • Identify customer experience challenges and develop commercially focused solutions.
  • Assist the wider Ecommerce team on project implementations to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Make strategic recommendations relating to website functionality, customer journeys and new digital capabilities.
  • Be responsible for delivering improvements in Conversion Rate, Average Order Value, Site Speed and other agreed digital KPIs.
  • Own the A/B testing programme, identifying opportunities, prioritising experiments, implementing tests and reporting on outcomes.
  • Build and launch simple experiments using available testing tools wherever possible, reducing reliance on development resource.
  • Identify opportunities to deliver personalised customer journeys both on‑site and across the wider digital ecosystem.
  • Use analytics, heatmaps, session replay and usability tools to identify pain points and translate insights into development priorities.
  • Optimise and enrich website content to improve customer engagement, conversion and commercial performance.
  • Troubleshoot website issues and work with the development team to resolve them efficiently.
  • Monitor key digital KPIs, identifying trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Deliver reports, results and actionable insight during regular team meetings.
  • Champion UX, CRO and optimisation best practice while ensuring all developments remain consistent with the Musto brand guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively across Ecommerce, Brand, Marketing, Trading, Customer Service, IT and external partners to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Keep up to date with emerging ecommerce technologies, optimisation techniques and industry best practice, recommending new ideas where appropriate.

Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in Digital Optimisation, Ecommerce, Product Management, UX, CRO or a similar digital role.
  • Experience managing digital development backlogs and working closely with internal development teams or external agencies.
  • Strong understanding of UX best practice, responsive design and customer‑centred design principles.
  • Experience planning, managing and analysing A/B testing and experimentation programmes.
  • Proven ability to identify optimisation opportunities through analytics, customer insight and behavioural data.
  • Experience creating wireframes, user journeys and low‑fidelity prototypes to communicate ideas.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer needs, technical complexity and business priorities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
  • Ability to communicate ideas, priorities and solutions clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong awareness of optimisation best practice, digital trends and emerging technologies.
  • Experience using analytics platforms, heat mapping, session replay and usability tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while consistently delivering high‑quality outcomes.
  • A proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge, innovate and continuously improve.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences through data‑driven decision making.
  • Experience using Magento (Adobe Commerce) is advantageous.
  • Experience with experimentation and personalisation platforms such as Statsig, Optimizely, VWO, Monetate or similar is advantageous.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments is desirable.
  • Experience working with OKRs is beneficial.
