Role Overview
As Marketing Manager, Sailing, you will lead Musto's global sailing marketing strategy, working closely with the Marketing Director to shape strategic direction and deliver impactful campaigns. You will manage the Brand Activation Specialist and collaborate across departments to ensure flawless execution. A key focus of this role is building and leveraging partnerships with sailing events, teams, ambassadors, and industry stakeholders to amplify Musto's presence and strengthen brand equity. You will also work with international wholesale sales reps and their accounts, as well as the eCommerce and retail teams, to deliver brand‐led campaigns across DTC channels. You will partner with design and product management on creative processes for campaign photoshoots and collaborate with marketing colleagues to ensure cohesive storytelling across all touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with the Marketing Director to define and evolve Musto's global sailing marketing strategy.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
- Lead and mentor the Brand Activation Specialist, ensuring activations and events deliver against campaign goals.
- Partnership Development
- Build and manage relationships with sailing events, teams, and ambassadors to maximize brand exposure.
- Negotiate and activate sponsorship agreements, ensuring Musto's presence is premium and impactful.
- Identify new partnership opportunities within the sailing ecosystem to drive growth and engagement.
- Campaign Development
- Plan and deliver integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, retail, and experiential channels.
- Partner with eCommerce to create and execute brand‐led campaigns that drive engagement and conversion across DTC platforms.
- Wholesale & Retail Marketing
- Work closely with international wholesale sales reps and their accounts to deliver marketing support, POS, and activation plans.
- Ensure brand consistency and premium execution across retail environments.
- Work with design and product management on the creative process for campaign photoshoots.
- Collaborate with marketing colleagues to ensure cohesive storytelling across all channels.
- Event & Activation Oversight
- Ensure Musto's presence at sailing events is premium, consistent, and impactful.
- Support the Brand Activation Specialist with planning, logistics, and execution.
- Content & Community
- Oversee creation of compelling sailing content for social, web, and email channels.
- Build strong relationships within the sailing community to enhance brand advocacy.
- Performance & Reporting
- Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and optimize for ROI.
