Mustard Systems is a team of 60 people dedicated to developing market leading sports models and trading strategies. Applications of our research are widespread across multiple sectors including betting, insurance, finance and the media, as well as giving advice to coaches and owners of sporting teams.

We are looking for a trader to join our Execution team, which is responsible for monetising predictions generated from inhouse models. The team is looking for an ambitious individual who is willing to learn from some of the best minds in the sports trading industry, executing and innovating trading strategies.
As an innovative team, you will be working in a fast paced environment best suited to enthusiastic, numerate individuals who thrive in a creative environment.
The role would entail:
- Implementing trading strategies on live sports events – primarily cricket
- Being a key part of a feedback loop with senior traders and quants as to how to improve trading strategies
- Liaising with development teams to improve market interaction dynamics
- Attention to detail, consistency and accuracy in carrying out trading responsibilities
- Post event analysis of trading data using python and other analysis tools
- Working variable hours, including evenings and weekends
- Data Cleaning/organising
Candidate requirements:
- Numerical literacy – especially proficient in mental maths
- Drawn to the statistical element of sports
- Interested in trading strategies inspired by quantitative analysis
- Excellent communication skills
- Willing to work in Hammersmith, office based 5 days a week
- Willing to work variable hours including evenings and weekends
- Enjoys watching cricket
Ideal candidate would have:
- Understanding of value betting
- Interest in other forms of trading; stocks, crypto etc.
- Proficiency in data analysis using python
