Senior Designer

CALLING ALL Creative Production Designers looking for a London based role working on a 3 days in 2 day WFH basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong creative background combined with a solid understanding of production processes. This role involves working closely with Creative Leads and Production Managers to bring a wide range of high-end projects to life, ensuring they meet the creative vision while staying practical and within budget. This position bridges the gap between creative concepts and production realities, translating design ideas into practical, cutting-edge solutions. Staying up to date with the latest technical and production innovations is essential, and occasionally taking the creative lead on projects in collaboration with other team members may be required. Design & Concept Development: Develop and produce design elements for experiential events, including set designs, environmental graphics, props, styling, furniture, and installations that align with creative concepts. Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and conceptualize impactful design ideas for pitches and live projects. Technical Execution: Create detailed technical drawings and renderings for fabrication and installation, ensuring designs are feasible and meet production requirements. Source and select materials, finishes, and textures that align with the design vision while balancing budget and logistical constraints. Project Collaboration: Partner with production teams, fabricators, and vendors to maintain quality and ensure seamless execution of designs. Conduct site visits to assess spatial dynamics, address challenges, and oversee installations. Budget & Quality Control: Work with Production Managers to manage design budgets and ensure all elements are delivered on time and within financial constraints. Maintain quality control throughout production and installation phases. Innovation & Leadership: Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and fabrication techniques, sharing new insights with the team. Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure competitive rates and exceptional service. Provide mentorship and support to junior team members, fostering their growth and development. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of design processes, including sketches, CAD files, material specifications, and installation guidelines. Qualifications: 3+ years in a senior creative production role, delivering high-level projects across a variety of events. A strong portfolio showcasing innovative and impactful designs. Deep understanding of technical build and fabrication techniques. Experience working on large-scale projects in challenging environments. Skills & Expertise: Proficiency in at least two design tools: AutoCAD, Vectorworks, SketchUp, and ideally Adobe Creative Suite. Strong technical drawing and rendering abilities. Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle tight deadlines and juggle multiple projects. Expertise in fabrication processes, materials, and spatial design. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work. Clear and confident communicator with strong client-facing and presentation skills.
