Are you an experienced Project Manager with a knack for budgeting, estimating, and delivering high-quality creative builds in the live events space?
We’re hiring on behalf of a fast-growing, industry-leading creative production company that specializes in bespoke installations and immersive event experiences. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Scenic Project Manager to join their collaborative and passionate team.
About the Role
As Scenic Manager, you’ll play a key leadership role supporting the Managing Director in the successful delivery of all client projects — from brief and estimating through to build, installation and final delivery.
You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, liaise with internal teams and clients, and ensure each production is completed safely, to budget, on time and to the highest standard. This is a client-facing, hands-on role that combines creative problem-solving with commercial accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of custom projects within the live events and creative production sector.
- Take briefs from concept to completion, including quoting, production planning, and execution.
- Select appropriate materials and production techniques to ensure creative intent and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal design, production, and fabrication teams to develop estimates and manage resources.
- Work with the Sales and Creative teams to tender for new work and convert leads into live projects.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including specifications, budgets, and change logs.
- Oversee multiple jobs at once while managing timelines, client communication, and technical integrity.
- Handle project escalations and client issues with professionalism and efficiency.
- Ensure repeat business by exceeding client expectations through excellent service and delivery.
On-Site Management
- Take ownership of on-site project execution, acting as the primary liaison between the client and production team.
- Coordinate crew, logistics, and installations to ensure smooth, safe, and successful project delivery.
- Ensure production values are upheld at all times — from build quality to health & safety.
Post-Project
- Lead post-delivery reviews and feedback sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide insights for process improvements and future tenders.
Health & Safety
- Champion best practices across the business and ensure full compliance with H&S protocols.
What We're Looking For
- Strong background in project and production management within the events, exhibitions, or creative fabrication industries.
- Proven experience managing full project lifecycles — from estimating to delivery — ideally in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets and margins.
- Exceptional time management, multitasking, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and manage clients directly.
- A proactive problem-solver who thrives in deadline-driven environments.
- Hands-on site management experience, including crew supervision and client liaison.
- Understanding of health and safety legislation in a live production setting.
Why Apply?
- Work with a team of passionate creatives and makers who bring award-winning live experiences to life.
- Take ownership of high-profile projects with exciting clients across brand activations, experiential, and retail.
- Join a company that values innovation, attention to detail, and strong team culture.
- Hybrid working options with office/workshop based in Greater London.
