About the Client
Our client is a leading London-based luxury interior-design practice, delivering bespoke, high-end residential, commercial and hospitality projects. With over 30 years of heritage, they are known for elegant, intelligent, and dynamic interiors, excellent craftsmanship, and a commitment to outstanding client experiences.
They work across the UK and international markets, with a diverse portfolio including private homes, boutique hotels, and large-scale development show suites. Their studio is creative, ambitious and people-centred.
The Opportunity
They are seeking a Head of Business Development to shape their growth strategy, win new clients, and deepen existing relationships. This is a senior role: you’ll be instrumental in driving revenue growth, entering new markets, and influencing company direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, source, and win new business opportunities, both in the UK and internationally
- Lead deal cycles: envisaging strategy, sourcing prospects, analysing opportunities, negotiating to close
- Build, manage and prioritise a strong business pipeline using client data, analytics, and industry research
- Structure and maintain CRM and proposal systems to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Represent the company at roadshows, industry events; work with marketing to plan and execute such events
- Conduct industry / market analysis; build business cases for new markets or sectors
- Produce, present and execute an annual business development strategy
- Oversee client brief handovers to the design / execution teams, ensuring clarity and quality throughout
- Collaborate on fee proposals; monitor financials, travel & entertainment budgets; provide regular reporting to senior leadership
Candidate Profile
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong experience in Business Development / Sales / Client Relationship Management—ideally within property, luxury interiors, architecture or related sectors
- Has worked internationally or with cross-border clients
- Can demonstrate a track record of meeting and exceeding targets
- Is data / analytics literate and comfortable managing pipelines, forecasting, making strategic decisions
- Is skilled in negotiation, with excellent presentation skills
- Is organised, detail-orientated, with dynamism and resilience; able to handle both strategic thinking and operational execution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; experience with InDesign is a plus
