Contract (12-Months’ Fixed-Term Contract with a 6-Month Probationary Period, extendable and renewable)

Hours: Full-time (09:00 - 12:30 and 13:30 - 17:00) (Part-Time and Job Share options available)

Salary: £29,500 - £33,000 per annum (commensurate with experience)

Role Overview: The Social Media Manager will lead our social media strategy to drive engagement through all social channels.

Responsibilities include:

  • Create and deliver our social media strategy across all platforms.
  • Plan, create, schedule, and report on organic social media content.
  • Plan, create, report, and optimize paid social media content.
  • Manage paid social budget, including reporting on spend and ROI.
  • Perform social media audits to optimize channels.
  • Monitor social listening and address issues.
  • Manage cross-organizational social media requests and develop briefing processes.
  • Engage with followers and influencers.
  • Report on social metrics such as engagement, followers, impressions, and reach.

Requirements:

  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Obtain or hold a DBS Certificate at the suitable level.
  • Declare any conflicts of interest.
  • Experience in an agile fundraising environment.
  • Test-and-learn mindset for social media performance.
  • Data-driven approach to optimize channels.
  • Experience with Meta, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and TikTok.
  • Stay updated with social media trends and new channels.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and copywriting skills.
  • Creative thinker and strong communicator.
  • Content creation skills, including graphics and video.
  • Knowledge of Islamic fundraising context preferred.
  • Experience with task management software.
  • Basic understanding of Islamic values and Muslim practices.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety principles.
  • Full driving license and access to a car for community engagement.
