The Muskingum County Library is seeking Adult Literacy Tutors.

Job Responsibilities:
- Under general supervision, Adult Literacy Tutors will report to the Adult Literacy Specialist and perform various tasks related to tutoring Adult Learners.
Necessary Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- Valid State of Ohio driver's license
- Ability to remain calm under stressful conditions
- Patience
- Positive attitude

- Educational background
Time Commitment:
- Minimum of four hours per month, for six months
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Physically load and unload materials for transportation to and from meeting locations
- Relate well with the general public and exhibit a broad reading background
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Prepare meaningful, concise, and accurate reports
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with library patrons and fellow tutors
- Exhibit creativity to prepare informative and engaging lessons
