Overview
We’re looking to expand our team of creative music practitioners who provide piano and guitar tuition in primary schools. Experience is preferred, but we can provide training, resources, and continued professional development to successful applicants. Link Learning takes care of administration and all communication with schools and parents on behalf of tutors so they can concentrate on what’s important: the teaching. We also have a range of teaching resources tutors can utilise, especially in relation to composition and improvisation.
This vacancy is for a piano and guitar tutor at a primary school in the LS20 post code. There are two days of tuition available with roughly 3 hours of interest in each timetable initially. Lessons will be taking place weekly during normal school hours. Please note, that we are looking for someone who is able to teach both instruments at an intermediate level.
Responsibilities
- Be musicians with an interest in composition and improvisation
- Have experience providing instrument tuition to children in a school context
- Be confident, highly organised, and able to work on your own initiative
- Undergo a full, enhanced DBS check, or have one in place (Link Learning takes safeguarding very seriously and a clean check is required for this role in accordance with Safer Recruitment guidelines)
