musicalchairs.info is a leading site for classical musicians. We are always innovating in order to best serve our readership and the successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, commitment and excellence. In addition to competitive remuneration we will offer a supportive, collaborative and understanding environment for your work to develop - this is a family business and we are a very small but highly successful team.

Pay and contract

  • £45 per hour
  • Freelance, self-employed
  • Typically at least 30 hours per month

Responsibilities

  • To work alongside the Directors Clare and John, our Senior Web Developer Tim and SysAdmin Ian
  • To develop and create new areas of the site, working to a spec
  • To develop and amend existing areas of the site
  • To assist with testing, UI, bug-fix fire-fighting etc

Skills

  • Full stack developer
  • PHP/MySQL/Linux/HTML/CSS/JS
  • Some familiarity with classical music might be helpful but is not essential!

Selection process

Candidates are invited to send a short CV together with links to any code repositories they may want to share. Applications open until May 15th. We will create a shortlist and hold informal interviews.
