MOTIF, a global PR agency at the intersection of music, entertainment, and design, is seeking a driven publicist to join its team and work across an exciting lineup of high-profile international clients. The publicist role will work across predominantly dance music clients and festivals, while also supporting projects across all MOTIF’s roster.

WHAT WE’RE AFTER

  • You’ll have at least three years of experience working in music publicity for artists and festivals and be able to show clear examples of campaigns and coverage you’ve personally delivered.
  • You’ll already have strong relationships across music and entertainment media, with an awareness of global outlets and a desire to continue building your network internationally.
  • You’re highly organised, adaptable and calm under pressure, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and close attention to detail.
  • You’re comfortable managing multiple projects at once and working closely with colleagues at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Discretion and professionalism are essential, as is flexibility to occasionally work outside standard hours when campaigns require it.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Draft and manage press releases and all related copywriting materials.
  • Research, build, and maintain media contact lists and press targets.
  • Plan and coordinate press schedules, compiling requests and managing timelines.
  • Coordinate and support press trips.
  • Support artist album launches and music release campaigns.
  • Secure high impact media coverage, including artist interviews, festival reviews, magazine covers and line up announcements.
  • Lead influencer outreach for music festivals and related campaigns.
  • Support artist promotion by attending shoots, recordings, gigs, and industry events.
  • Secure listings and editorial coverage in music festival guides and listings.
  • Oversee media accreditation processes for music festivals.
  • Distribute press materials to promote client news, launches, and events.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with media, industry partners, and stakeholders to create ongoing opportunities for clients.

WHAT WE OFFER

£28,000 - £35,000. The role is based at our London head office, working 9.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. We offer hybrid working with three days in the office, though flexibility is required depending on client needs. Benefits include a generous bonus scheme, 25 days’ holiday plus.
