- £40,000 to £60,000 p/annum (dependent on experience)

About the role
We're thrilled to offer this opportunity to play an integral role in the evolution and innovation of our platforms. With a focus on our Uppbeat platform, you'll join our Product team and work closely with our Product Owner and CEO to design world-class UI, features, and pages. You'll also collaborate with our Development team and graphic designers, ensuring a seamless, integrated process that leverages the team's diverse talents and ideas.
Your main goal is to create a user experience that our users love while driving product and commercial success through innovative features and UI enhancements. You'll bring the latest UX standards and best practices to the team, championing great design across all devices.
Responsibilities
- Design excellence: Lead the creation of world-leading feature designs, user flows, pages and interactions that our users will love.
- Innovation: Drive innovation and continual improvement in our products and user experience.
- Collaboration: Be a core player in the product development process, coordinating with Product, Development, Marketing, Creative, and Content teams. Leverage insights and data to inform and coordinate product development effectively.
- User journey & testing: Create clearly laid-out user journey designs and organise proposals for A/B testing.
- Process leadership: Establish excellence in our product design processes and be the leading advocate for UX standards within the team.
Experience & skills required
- Education: Degree-level qualification in UX, web design, or a related field is preferred.
- Design expertise: Extensive experience in web-app design, UX, and crafting user journeys that resonate with users.
- Innovation: Proven ability to innovate and enhance app-style products, pushing the boundaries of design and functionality.
- Leadership & communication: Strong experience leading group discussions, presenting designs, and coordinating effectively across various departments and stakeholders.
- Tools proficiency: Advanced proficiency with design tools such as Figma and an understanding of front-end development principles.
- User-centred design: Deep understanding of user-centred design principles and the ability to conduct user research and usability testing.
- Collaboration: Exceptional teamwork skills, with a knack for collaborating with developers, product managers, and other designers to achieve cohesive results.
- Adaptability: Ability to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and apply them to improve the user experience continuously.
