Hours: Part Time, 9 hours per week

Bradfield College is seeking to appoint an experienced and accomplished pianist and accompanist to join us from September 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Rehearse and coach pupils in individual sessions and accompany pupils of all abilities in a wide range of school musical events throughout the academic year, as agreed with the Director of Music and Head of Instrumental Studies.
  • Join the department at an exciting time with music being a key component of the soon to be launched 2026 – 2031 College development plan.
  • Adopt a flexible approach to working hours. While the contract is based on an average of 9 hours per week, the distribution of these hours will vary across the academic year in line with the College’s musical programme, with schedules confirmed in advance wherever possible.
  • For a suitable candidate, there may be the opportunity to offer one-to-one piano teaching under a separate Visiting Music Teacher (VMT) contract, subject to demand and departmental need.
  • Experience in other areas of musical education would be welcome, though not essential.
