Founded in 1906 as the first Junior Department of a UK Conservatoire to serve school children on Saturdays, it has since provided opportunities for young people to engage with music and performance at all levels, from early childhood to university entrance.

Job Responsibilities

Successful candidates will teach individual students and coach ensembles for Junior Trinity performances, including prestigious external projects at venues such as The Queen Elizabeth Hall, LSO St Luke’s, and Blackheath Halls.

The role involves a minimum of 3 hours of teaching per week on Saturdays, for 30 weeks per year, with some posts requiring up to 8 hours per week depending on student numbers and scheduling for the 2025/26 academic year.

*All hourly rates are inclusive of holiday pay and based on role evaluation. Hours depend on the Conservatoire\’s needs and student enrollment.

These positions involve working with children and young people and are subject to an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
