We are looking to contract able and inspiring self-employed Visiting Music Teachers of Brass, Saxophone & Violin to work within our highly successful and aspirational Music Departments from September 2025.

Music is an integral part of our schools and we firmly believe that co-curricular music plays a vital role in the education and development of our pupils. Our Music Departments cultivate a lively, active and happy atmosphere and cater for a wide variety of genres and musical interests.

Candidates should be familiar with relevant teaching materials and techniques, and themselves be confident and able performers.

Selected contractors will deliver one to one lessons to pupils across the three schools in the foundation. The teaching hours we are expecting to offer are as follows:

  • Saxophone: 1 or 2 days
  • Violin: 1 day

We will pay Visiting Music Teachers standard Musicians' Union rates for instrumental tuition, currently £21.25 per 30 minute lesson (£42.50 per hour). Visiting Music Teachers will need to bill parents directly, sending copies to the school. We will ask you to use our IT system for booking and monitoring lessons and attendance and will provide full training for this.
