Overview
This is a unique opportunity for exciting, energised new entrants to the profession to join a career entrants training programme. It is ideally suited for recent graduates keen to expand their skills and interests in instrumental and vocal music teaching.
Candidate Requirements
- Proficiency in principal study, ideally to degree-level or equivalent
- Applications welcomed from those wishing to specialise in Strings (upper and lower), Woodwind (double reed), Keyboard, and SEND for children with additional needs
- No previous teaching experience necessary but enthusiasm for a career in music teaching is essential
- Excellent communication skills, well-organised, presentable, and passionate about music and education
- Driving license and access to a car is desirable but not essential

Contract Details
Initial fixed 11-month contract (1 Sept 2025 to 31 July 2026), extendable to 23 months, on the Trust pay scale: £22,858 pro rata, including health care and pension benefits. Future earnings potential: £24,828 – £36,531. (Figures at 24-25 rates; pay award pending.)
