Hounslow Music Service is a music education charity in the London Borough of Hounslow, working with schools, families, and cultural organisations to ensure that all children and young people can access high-quality, inclusive music education. The service supports schools in delivering a broad and progressive music curriculum, provides instrumental and vocal tuition, ensembles, choirs and performance opportunities including tours, enrichment programmes such as the Saturday Music Academy, and youth-led initiatives. With a strong emphasis on active music-making, inclusion, and progression, Hounslow Music Service plays a central role in developing musical skills, confidence, and creativity, enabling young people to thrive both musically and personally.
We are seeking two new Strategic Leads to drive the next stage of the development of the service. These new posts will be part of the Strategic Leadership Team and will join the service at an exciting time as we embark on an important programme of work supporting Alternative Provision, funded by a large Paul Hamlyn Foundation grant. We have a long-term partnership with the Choral Foundation at the Chapel Royal, Hampton Court Palace, as well as partnerships with British Army Music, Philharmonia Orchestra and a new relationship with the Gabrieli Consort. We have worked closely with music services across Southwest London for more than 30 years.
This new post is full-time with significant opportunities for professional development and personal growth. Successful candidates will spend part of the week teaching in schools, and part of the week in our purpose-built music centre.
