An exciting opportunity for passionate instrumental teachers to join the vibrant team at Redbridge Music Service, part of Vision Redbridge Culture and Leisure. We are looking to appoint a steelpan teacher to nurture and direct steelpan ensembles at our Music School in Hainault.

After a successful period of pan focus that culminated in a large pan side playing a Lord Kitchener calypso arrangement at the Royal Albert Hall, the ensemble now needs to be rebuilt. The role also includes teaching in borough schools and requires someone with the experience, passion and commitment to direct pan ensembles of varying sizes that welcome children of all abilities and needs. Skill in arranging music for players at different levels is a distinct advantage. The work will initially involve Thursday afternoons and evenings, with opportunities for expansion.

Working for Redbridge Music Service, based at the John Savage Centre in Hainault and delivering tuition in 48 Redbridge schools, you will find yourself immersed in a world of musical energy, surrounded by instruments, creativity, and a passion for teaching children, adults, toddlers and even babies. With over 50 concerts per year, including performances at iconic venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, your role will directly impact the musical journeys of talented students in the community.
