You will bring a passion for practice-led learning, significant experience of teaching and assessment in higher education, and a strong track record of programme and/or subject leadership. We are open-minded about subject expertise: you may have a background in music performance, composition, music industry and entrepreneurship, music education, musicology, music and health, performance science, or another area of music.
You will be highly collaborative and open to working with faculties and departments across the College to develop innovative new learning opportunities for our students. You will champion inclusive practice in learning and teaching, recognising and responding to diverse student needs and working in partnership with students. You will have a strong understanding of professional careers in music today and a commitment to student employability and entrepreneurship, supporting our BMus students to realise their potential as creative innovators, leaders and changemakers.
The College offers world-class teaching and research facilities, a stimulating and supportive research environment, and access to a wide range of professional development opportunities.
The Head of BMus is an onsite role, with an expectation that the postholder will be present on campus at least three days per week during term time.
This post is offered on a permanent, full-time basis and is available immediately.
