The predicted salary is between 40.5 - 40.5 £ per hour.

£40.50 per hour (minimum 3 hours work per Saturday). Guitar Tutor with an enthusiastic and inclusive approach, to work primarily within our Primary Years Programme. This role, offered on a self‑employed contract, will include teaching guitar to students in school Years 2 to 4 through a mixture of 1:1 lessons, small‑group teaching and leading ensembles.

Employment Details

  • Part‑time fixed‑term contract, starting September 2026.
  • Minimum of 3 hours’ work on Saturdays between 12 pm and 4 pm (exact timing to be confirmed).
  • Location: Morley College, 61 Westminster Bridge Road, London, SE1 7HT.

Responsibilities

  • Teach guitar to students years 2‑4 using 1:1 lessons, small‑group sessions and ensemble work.
  • Develop lesson plans and progress reports suitable for primary‑aged learners.
  • Support students in establishing safe, secure technique and strong musical foundations.
  • Participate in programme meetings and collaborate with other staff as required.

Qualifications

  • Degree in music, teaching qualification or equivalent experience teaching guitar to primary‑aged children.
  • Skilled and engaging teacher, confident working with young learners, able to inspire a love of the instrument.
  • Experience in establishing technique and musical fundamentals for primary students.

The CYM Primary Years Programme is a progressive four‑year pathway for children in school Years 1–4, introducing musicianship and performance in a fun and nurturing environment.
