Overview
Dudley Performing Arts are currently looking for an upper strings specialist to join the team on a fixed term contract of 18 hours per week (negotiable). The role offers access to the Teachers Pension Scheme.
Contract and Timing
Contract Type: Part-Time Permanent
Start Date: Immediate
Closing Date: 13 February 2026
Responsibilities
- Deliver one-to-one and small group tuition (beginner to undergraduate level).
- Provide whole-class instrumental teaching.
- Work in special education settings if required.
- Lead bands, choirs, and ensembles.
- Contribute to the out-of-school Music School program at Cable Plaza.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High level of performance skills and an excellent knowledge base linked to bowed strings tuition.
- General knowledge of music at an advanced level, and ability to communicate subject knowledge effectively.
- Performance skills to post Grade 8 on the specialist instrument.
- Practising musician actively involved in music making.
- Experience or willingness to engage in education projects or teaching duties (voluntary or professional).
