Gloucestershire Music is seeking a highly skilled and passionate ensemble leader to join the Forest of Dean Area Wind Band. Currently, this runs as a community wind band, but we are hoping to expand this into a Music Centre.
About The Role
You will be responsible for the planning and running of the Forest of Dean Area Wind Band, which meets on Saturday mornings during term-time. Your primary focus will be on leading high-quality sessions for musicians of all ages, fostering a love for music, and helping students develop their musical interests. Some administrative tasks are required, but the main emphasis is on musical leadership.
Salary and Hours
The role offers a part-time salary, with a full-time equivalent monthly pay rate of £1,860.92 – £2,101.25, based on the Local Government Scheme pay scale. The position is term-time only, for 30 weeks per year, with a total of 2 hours and 15 minutes (plus preparation time) per week.
