Responsibilities

  • Deliver Whole Class Practical Musicianship (WCPM) lessons and individual/small group tuition across Buckinghamshire.
  • Identify and nurture future brass players by working with schools to develop pupils’ interest and skills.
  • Lead three Saturday‑morning choirs in Amersham during the current conductor’s maternity leave, rehearsing and directing singers of varying ages and abilities.
  • Create an enjoyable and supportive musical environment that enables singers to thrive.
  • Teach additional teaching sessions (singing and/or other instruments) as part of an ongoing teaching portfolio after the maternity cover period.

Qualifications

  • Experienced lower‑brass tutor, ideally a trombonist with the ability to teach across the brass family.
  • Previous experience in leading choirs and conducting music programmes.
  • Passion for music education and experience working with young people.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
