Employer Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust Location Northamptonshire Contract Type Full-Time Permanent Start Date January 2026, or sooner if available Closing Date 23rd June 2025 at 12:00 We are seeking to appoint a new Leader, to join the Senior Leadership Team of the Trust. In addition to having a shared responsibility for oversight of the work of the entire Trust, including its role as Music Hub Lead Organisation, the post holder will lead on the delivery of instrumental teaching in schools and for our network of Saturday Centres. The Post Will Include Responsibility For Quality of teaching and learning in school-based activities: instrumental and vocal lessons, ensemble direction and projects. Staff welfare and student voice. Oversight of Heads of Department in the deployment of teaching resources. Annual Service Level Agreements with schools. Line Management of the Centre Heads, and responsibility for oversight of the growth and development of the Centres. The post holder will be an experienced practitioner, used to managing and leading teams of people, and leading and managing initiatives. They will have knowledge and understanding of Music Hubs and their pivotal role in supporting Music Education. Additionally, the post holder will be expected to retain an element of personal delivery in schools. There will also be the expectation to be involved in the full life of the Hub Lead Organisation: Instrumental or Vocal teaching, work with County Ensembles, Saturday Music Centres, and the rich and varied work of the Northamptonshire and Rutland Music Hub. The post will start from the beginning of the Spring Term, or during the Autumn Term if available. Exact start date to be confirmed after interview. The appointment is within the spirit of Teachers’ Conditions and is paid on the NMPAT Leadership Spine L7 – L11, £54,391 – £61,179.
