You will be managing a portfolio of existing accounts, developing business with these customers. You will also be prospecting with dormant accounts and winning new customers. The role has an element of new business development, and whilst you will be managing a range of accounts across the UK it will also be your responsibility to break into and establish new business within dormant accounts along with suspecting and prospecting new business. Working as part of our head office sales team you’ll be at ease with face-to-face sales visits, telesales, prospecting, problem solving and query resolution, social media, and e-mail campaigns, engaging in customer webstore development and generally being the point of first contact for a group of the Company’s customers for all product and sales related activities.

The successful candidate will be an established sales professional, seeking an opportunity to really make a key difference within a strongly established and growing organisation. We’re looking for someone who gets a buzz out of selling, developing business, building commercial relationships, and hitting their numbers. Preference will be given to applicants with distributive sales or retail sales experience in a consumer goods B2B telemarketing environment and who have additional industry specific experience such as being a musician and/or have music products industry or category knowledge and/or experience of musical instruments and PA equipment. Although head office based, the role will require regular domestic travel and the possession of a full clean driving licence. Literacy, numeracy, competence with MS Office applications, ERP systems and CRM generally and a working knowledge of all aspects of e-commerce are pre-requisites. Essential attributes are well-developed preparation, administrative, organisational, and time management skills, the ability to work well independently and as part of a team, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to be an engaging and adept communicator capable of presenting and closing sales at all levels, both face to face and via telesales in an intensely competitive sales environment.
