Music Collective Scotland is looking to appoint a freelance violin tutor to join our growing team. This role would ideally suit a music student, early-career teacher, or freelance performer/teacher looking for regular, term-time work within a supportive music school environment.
Location
Teaching takes place at our Dundee studio, with Saturday availability preferred, though we are flexible to suit your schedule.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality violin tutoring for beginner to intermediate levels.
- Teach children from age 6 through to adults; adapt to different ages and abilities.
- Work within a term-time schedule and participate in ongoing teacher support and in-house training.
- Coordinate with the in-house accompanist for exam candidates as needed.
- All admin, bookings and payments are handled by Music Collective Scotland; teachers invoice MCS directly for teaching hours.
- Maintain professional standards and contribute to a positive, collaborative teaching team.
Qualifications
- Grade 8 violin (or equivalent playing ability).
- A music or relevant degree, or currently studying music at higher education level.
- Confident working with young learners and beginners.
- Reliable, friendly, and keen to be part of a teaching team.
