A little bit about our team: The Income Tracking Analyst role falls within the overall structure of the Administration Team and has a direct impact on our songwriters by ensuring accurate and on-time remuneration. The role will liaise with all areas of our business and work closely with our Finance, Royalty, Copyright, Global Analytics and Creative/Sync teams; and provides the opportunity to work internationally with affiliates, licensees and collection societies.
Your role: As the Income Tracking Analyst, you will support all tracking activities for major revenue sources such as Performance, Mechanical, Sync, Live, Audiovisual and Digital on a global scale. In this newly created role, you will have the opportunity to define the role, advance how we manage our global and local income tracking activities, and collaborate with global departments to create and improve processes that can easily adapt to the constantly evolving nature of music licensing. You will be responsible for the forensic analysis of income received against income expectations across all major revenue streams and instigate back claims, adjustments and supplemental payments where required. You will have the opportunity to provide input and influence the creation of reports that support Income Tracking, including exception & variance reporting, as required for the local offices.

- Conduct income tracking analysis for major revenue sources and support ad hoc requests from local offices.
- Work as an integrated member of a future-facing administration team.
- Evolve ways of working to take our income tracking to the next level.
- Identify and make claims for shortfalls in income based on analysis of incoming statements.
- Provide Adhoc analysis for the business on income received from societies, DSPs, affiliates and third parties.
- Monitor accurate deal level expectations across all income streams.
- Liaise with counterparts across all affiliate offices, suppliers and sub-publishers to ensure income flows are in line with expectations & resolve any interruptions or discrepancies.
- Ensure affiliate income queries relating to domestic income are resolved.
- Regularly communicate with local CMOs.
- Support Head of Global Income Tracking on projects including ad hoc forecasts and income analysis.
- Collaborate with income tracking teams globally.
- You will work closely with local and global Royalty and Copyright teams to both resolve and proactively prevent against problems arising with the collection of income.
- Process and review unpaid and unmatched lists.
About you: Minimum of 2+ years’ experience preferably in a music publishing administration role (income tracking, copyright, royalties) at a Collection society or music publishing related companies such as DSP, labels or Film and TV. Experience working across all major revenue streams and working with CMOs and partners. A good understanding of copyright, royalties and sync licensing. Skills to analyse, extract & manipulate data from high volume data files. Experience in setting up internal analysis delivering reports tailored to the needs of the business. Excellent communicator with skills to build relationships with people internally and externally. Comprehensive knowledge of society licensing schemes and distribution policies. A forensic and detail-oriented approach to analysing data with a track record in delivering accurate results. High Proficiency in Excel including Power Pivot, Power Query and complex formulae.
We’d also like it if you had: Experience in tracking income for offline and online audiovisual usages. Experience working with SQL. Experience with analytical and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx etc. Understanding of music publishing file formats such as CRDs, CWRs, Cue sheets and setlists.
