We are inviting applications for the Post Office Manager position at SuperValu DairyFarm. The role is part-time (30 hours), permanent, with flexible days and weekends. The shift pattern will be discussed during the interview, and candidates must be able to travel to the store by car, public transport, or other means.
The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Post Office, ensuring staffing levels, reporting, and accounting practices comply with Post Office and Musgrave standards. You will also train staff on Post Office procedures, including the use of Post Office combi units on the shop floor.
Responsibilities
- Manage and train Post Office staff
- Process bill payments, lodgements, and other postal services
- Handle mail, parcels, and related postal services
- Report and balance stock and cash daily
- Demonstrate knowledge of Post Office services in line with financial standards and guidelines
- Follow store operating procedures for the Post Office
- Manage banking activities via external services as needed
- Perform shop floor, till, or administrative duties as required, with proper training

Candidate Criteria
The ideal candidate will have:
- GCSEs or equivalent (including Maths and English)
- At least 1 year of Post Office experience, including cash handling, financial reporting, and administration
- Knowledge of Horizon System software
- Excellent IT and numeracy skills
- Good people management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
