Role
Trading Support Assistant (Full-time) – to join the MNI Trading Department. You will provide administrative support, ensure compliance with Brexit Protocol and Windsor Framework, verify supplier data, prepare Excel spreadsheets detailing information, manage tariffs, support supplementary declarations to HMRC, and liaise with our Import partner. The role is in a busy FMCG environment with hybrid working (Office based 3 days a week).
Responsibilities
- Assist with key project support activities
- Support management of budgets, risks and challenges to ensure effective compliance
- Data integrity: liaising with suppliers, checking paperwork and ensuring databases are accurate
- Provide internal system reports as required by Trading
- Administration support
- Work cross-functionally with Category Managers, Trading Services Manager, Trading Managers and Trading Assistants
- Provide Brexit Trading Support on wider and ad hoc projects within Trading and with Sales and Finance as workload demands
- Investigate and resolve queries from other internal departments
- Suggest improvements and standardise processes where possible
- Ad hoc requests by Category Manager for Wholesale
- Minute taking and diary management of key stakeholders
Experience, Skills and Education
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a busy administration team
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English & Maths at Grade C or above
- Ability to work to tight deadlines with accuracy
- Experience using databases and handling high volumes of data, including reporting
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Strong organization and prioritisation skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to develop and maintain cross-functional relationships
- Can-do attitude and ability to embrace change
- Ability to understand the big picture in International Trade
Nice to Have
- A-level or third-level qualification (business or commercial)
- Basic knowledge of Brexit changes and import responsibilities
- Understanding of Incoterms
- Previous administration experience in a trading or retail environment
- Experience with Data Analytics
