Role Overview
Robbs Wines, based in Lurgan, is a well-established wine merchant known for sourcing premium wines from renowned vineyards across the globe. As part of the Musgrave Group, the business continues to grow while maintaining its commitment to excellence and customer service. We are seeking a passionate and driven Business Development Manager to join our team at Robbs Wines. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in wine, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to drive sales. You will be responsible for promoting our portfolio of wines, building client relationships, and supporting the growth of our brand across retail and hospitality sectors.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Promote and sell a curated selection of wines to retailers, restaurants and distributors
- Provide expert product knowledge and recommendations tailored to customer needs
- Meet and exceed quarterly sales and margin targets in line with objectives, contributing to overall business growth
- Support wine tastings, events and promotional activities
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity and customer interactions
- Collaborate with sales manager to develop and execute sales strategies
- Maintain good relationships with internal functions, including trading, marketing, telesales and logistics
- Undertake any other responsibilities as delegated by the Sales Manager
What we are looking for:
- 3+ years’ experience in a sales role with wine sales experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Organised, proactive and customer-focused
Desirable criteria:
- Experience preparing quotes and pricing for both new and existing business
- Strong understanding of sales margins and commercial decision making
