Were seeking a Regional Sales Manager to oversee a portfolio of SuperValu and Centra stores across Northern Ireland. This is more than a management roleits an opportunity to lead cultural change, inspire independent retailers, and shape the future of retail in your region.

Key Activities
- Manage the relationship and act as a strategic partner between Musgrave Northern Ireland and its retailers.
- Maximise wholesale sales to Musgrave while championing the SuperValu and Centra brands
- Ensure wholesales sales align with retail sales opportunity.
- Lead best in class initiatives that enhance store standards, operational efficiency, support the delivery of Winning Store Operating model programme and team engagement across estate.
- Support retailers to ensure that stores trade safely and legally and fulfil all legal and mandatory responsibilities
- Develop plans to ensure delivery of sales and costs to budget, maximising margin and profitability within the Musgrave Business model and assist in minimising the companys exposure to retailer bad debt
- Develop business plans for territory, with clear targets and KPI management
- Support and guide retailers on store layout, range reviews and promotional execution
- Support Store Design with refresh projects and encourage retailers to continue to invest in their business to ensure best in class execution.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and commercial excellence with the wider business to ensure understanding of retailer issues.
- In conjunction with the retailer, agree plans to develop and grow their business into the future and where appropriate support retailer succession plans.
- Manage store retention process. Support Business Development team with recruitment of new stores.
- Participate in functional, cross functional and cross divisional projects to improve and grow the performance level of the Musgrave business models.
Experience, Skills & Education
- Full, valid UK/EU driving licence.
- At least 3 years relevant proven track record in sales or sales development as an Area/Regional Manager within a retail or FMCG environment.
- Proven track record of delivering to agreed performance targets
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook
- High level of communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and inspire others.
- Strategic and innovative way of thinking
- Strong commercial acumen and financial awareness.
- Customer Centric approach, a passion for retail and a commitment to delivering results through people.
- Higher level qualification in business or finance, or equivalent
- Understanding of the NI Convenience market
- Food Safety Qualification, including working knowledge of HACCP
- Knowledgeable on NI food safety legislationAt least 3 years relevant demonstratable experience operating as an Area/Regional manager within the convenience or supermarket food retail sector.
- Proven track record in a multi-site retail environment.
- Experience in supporting independent retailers / businesses
