We are currently recruiting fora Financial Controls Auditor to join our Internal Controls Management team. This role includes responsibility for all company owned stores, cash and carry sites (MarketPlace) and central offices and distribution centres in Northern Ireland and will require travel throughout Northern Ireland. The role will support the business to protect company resources (cash, stock etc.) by achieving full compliance with standard operating procedures and other external/regulatory/legal compliance requirements and also provide assurance to the divisional board that key controls are in place and operating in a satisfactory manner across the MNI business including the company owned store estate. The main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to: Supporting the audits of Company Owned stores, Marketplace, Drinks Inc, Supply Chain, Wholesale businesses, and Central Functions in accordance with the agreed audit plan. Assist in the development and rollout of agreed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and controls across the business to ensure risk is appropriately managed. On-going review and updating of SOPs and controls in line with changes to business processes. Assist the Internal Control Manager with the development and implementation of appropriate audit processes to ensure the MNI business is compliant with all internal and external compliance requirements including SOPs, legal, regulatory and group policies Assist the Internal Control Manager in the preparation and presentation of reports as required for periodic management and board meetings, reporting to Musgrave Group etc. Monitoring of cash balances (including floats, ATM balances and Post Office cash) to ensure agreed limits are adhered to and insurance limits are not breached. Work with the company owned, warehouse and cash and carry teams to ensure delivery of financial KPIs e.g. cash overs/shorts, waste, reductions, shrink/stock loss, including responsibility for weekly cash KPI reporting for the company owned estate. Essentail Skills: At least 1 years internal control/audit/risk experience Experience within the retail/wholesale industry or a fast-paced commercial business Ability to work on own initiative Strong people skills Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite with proficiency in use of Microsoft Excel Full Driving License Desirable: Degree in relevant field i.e. business/finance/accounting Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and offer practical solutions Musgrave is an equal opportunities employer.
