We have an opportunity for a Trading Support Assistant to join our team on a Full-time basis, to provide administrative support to the MNI Trading Department. The successful applicant will report directly to the Trading Compliance Manager and ensure ongoing compliance with all aspects of the Brexit Protocol and Windsor Framework compliance, specifically:

  • Verification of supplier data
  • Preparation of excel spreadsheets detailing associated information
  • Tariff management and tracking
  • Supporting supplementary declarations to HMRC
  • Liaising with our Import partner

The role provides a great opportunity to join a busy FMCG environment, develop knowledge and understanding to progress within the business, in a hybrid working environment (Office Based 3 Days a Week Fixed).

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assist with key project support activities
  • Support management of budgets, risks and challenges to ensure effective compliance
  • Data Integrity liaising with suppliers, checking paperwork and ensuring databases are accurate and up to date as required
  • Supply of internal system reports as required by Trading Administration support
  • Work cross-functionally and Divisionally as required and to form close working relationships with all Musgrave colleagues
  • Provide Brexit Trading Support functions and extra assistance on wider and ad hoc projects within Trading and with other functions such as Sales and Finance
  • Investigation and resolution of queries from other internal departments
  • Make suggestions for improvement and standardise processes where possible
  • Ad Hoc requests by Category Manager for Wholesale
  • Minute taking and diary management of key stakeholders

Experience, Skills and Education:

  • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience working within a busy administration team
  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) to include English & Maths at Grade C or above
  • Experience working to tight deadlines whilst ensuring accuracy of output
  • Experience of using databases and working with high volumes of data to include reporting
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft packages - Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to develop and maintain cross-functional working relationships
  • Can do attitude with the ability to embrace change and work on own initiative
  • Ability to see the big picture in International Trade

What’s nice to have:

  • A-level or 3rd level qualification (business or commercial related)
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Brexit changes
  • Basic understanding of Import responsibilities
  • Understanding of Incoterms
  • Previous administration experience within a trading or retail environment
  • Previous experience with Data Analytics
