The predicted salary is between 11 - 16 £ per hour.

We have an opportunity for General Assistants to join our team at Marketplace Derry. As Northern Ireland's leading wholesaler, we offer the most comprehensive range in the market with over 10,000 lines including impulse, alcohol, grocery, and chill freeze. We are committed to helping local businesses succeed with our dedicated customer service team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Serving customers which would involve handling cash and checkout operations.
  • Moving and replenishing stock which would involve food handling (including meat & dairy products).
  • Carrying out housekeeping and car parking duties.
  • Ensuring a high level of customer service to all customers.

Hours of work: 20-hour flex contracts available (you can flex up to work more hours a week if you want).

What we’re looking for:

  • GCSE Maths & English at grade C or above (or equivalent) or 6 months experience in a similar role.
  • Can demonstrate teamwork, good communication and working on own initiative.
  • The job requires a high degree of physical fitness in order to handle large and heavy cases of produce.
  • Previous cash handling experience would be advantageous but not essential as all training will be provided.
