This role will primarily be responsible for supporting the store operations team in delivering key business objectives related to the company owned agenda and overall commercial plan across MNI Company Owned stores. The role will deliver store support, successful execution of projects and process improvement to enhance operational efficiencies, drive consistency and support business growth. This role requires working 5 days out of 7, with flexibility to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of budget KPIs with Operations Manager and Store Manager/store team.
  • Support the Operations Manager and Store Manager/store in reviewing trading conditions, make decisions where applicable and share recommendations for improving store performance.
  • Identify commercial opportunities and areas for potential sales growth within stores.
  • Present ideas for continuous improvement to the Operations Manager and stores, along with creating launch plans to support.
  • Ensure stores are always operating and trading safely and legally, meeting all standard operating procedures, due diligence and H&S requirements.
  • Support new and existing Store Managers and/or Store leadership team through training and coaching on operational and people practices.
  • Work closely with Operations Manager in supporting stores e.g. temporary cover of stores/regions as and when required and attending commercial meetings.
  • Liaise with support functions and key stakeholders in delivery of business/store objectives.
Project Execution/Management
  • Support the Operations Manager, Store Manager and store teams with successful execution of store projects. This may include, but is not limited to, store refits and store acquisitions, and should be completed in line with agreed timescale and budget.
  • Oversee day-to-day execution of project activities in store.
  • Support coordinating cross-functional teams, engaging with internal and external stakeholders to align expectations.
  • Identify potential risks and work closely with internal stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders regarding progress, updates and key outputs.
  • Capture learnings and share best practice.
Implementation and embedding of store processes and continuous improvement
  • Support design and development of new store processes aligned to company owned and wider business objectives.
  • Continuous review of current processes, identifying inefficiencies, gaps and opportunities to streamline workflows.
  • Lead roll-out of new store processes, policies and systems.
  • Deliver clear communication and training where applicable, engaging all key stakeholders.
  • Support store teams through change management, addressing resistance to change and embedding new ways of working within store culture.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Store Manager and/or proven experience within a retail operations role.
  • Experience implementing processes, new ways of working and/or a training background.
  • Demonstrated involvement in project delivery and execution.
  • Experience engaging with multiple stakeholders (e.g. store teams, managers or support roles).
  • Full clean driving licence.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong organisation and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise accordingly.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good understanding of retail operations with awareness of store challenges.
  • Good understanding of systems and data, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
