The Senior Conservator, Industry will support Amgueddfa Cymru’s approach to the conservation, maintenance, preservation, and operation of its unique Industrial collections, with a focus on small objects. They will provide high-quality advice and guidance to colleagues across departments and other Amgueddfa Cymru sites to facilitate the use of the industrial collections in public programmes.
The Senior Conservator, Industry will be responsible for the day-to-day care of the collections and will assist in implementing conservation and collections care plans and strategies aligned with the Museum’s Operational Plan. They will support project delivery for a range of conservation activities related to the Industry Collections.
The role is based at the National Collections Centre (NCC) in Nantgarw, with occasional work required at other sites including St Fagans National Museum of History in Cardiff, the National Waterfront Museum in Swansea, the National Wool Museum in Drefach, and Big Pit: National Coal Museum.
