The Administrative Officer is a vital support role within the Conservation Department. You will be highly organised and detail-oriented, comfortable in delivering various administrative tasks. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to overall team efficiency.

You will be required to:

  • Use established administrative systems and processes to support the work of the Conservation Department.
  • Monitor the financial processes and the budget spend for the Conservation Department.
  • Provide excellent customer service, embodying Amgueddfa Cymru’s values and behaviours.
  • Support the Conservation Team to deliver specific and defined time bound projects.

You will be involved with activity to enable:

  • The smooth operation of the Conservation Department by carrying out a range of general administrative duties.
  • Effective communication, directing enquiries to the appropriate source of information to ensure all are dealt with in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Up to date and detailed monthly reporting against budgets.

Your primary base will be the National Collections Centre, Nantgarw, but with regular on site working at National Museum Cardiff and St Fagans National History Museum. You will attend other sites as required.
