The predicted salary is between 25650 - 31350 £ per year.
To support the Registrar in the effective delivery of Amgueddfa Cymru’s loans programmes, inward and outward, in accordance with museum policies and to national and international museum standards.
You will apply the appropriate risk management principles to ensure the safeguarding of the collections.
To assist with the review of policy and procedure and to promote registrarial best practice across the organisation.
To lead on loan negotiations and contract management with borrowers, lenders, and owners for assigned loans in and out.
To manage and coordinate all registrarial procedures relating to the Amgueddfa Cymru’s loans programmes, including planning transport arrangements, working closely with transport agents and borrowers/lenders.
To manage import/export arrangements, cultural export licences, immunity from seizure cover, customs procedures and security clearance; as appropriate.
To undertake due diligence in the treatment and movement of objects under the care of Amgueddfa Cymru, ensuring compliance obligations are met.
Integral to this will be the negotiation of terms and conditions for loans along with making arrangements for appropriate indemnity or insurance cover with borrowers, commercial insurers and administrators of Government indemnity schemes.
Active collections management duties are integral to all aspects of the role, working with Amgueddfa Cymru’s Collections Management System.
Close coordinataion with curatorial, conservation and technical colleagues across departments will be essential to ensure that collections management responsibilities are fulfilled.
