As Events Manager, you’ll help create experiences that are vibrant, inclusive, and unforgettable, shaping how thousands of people encounter London every day.

The Events Manager is responsible for the hands-on planning and delivery of a diverse range of events, from corporate hires to public programmes.

You will be directly engaged in every step, ensuring seamless execution, safety, and exceptional guest experiences.

Working closely with the Senior Events Manager and other Events Managers, you will be a visible, proactive presence on the ground, ensuring each event is delivered to the highest standard, while fostering a positive, solution-focused approach.

Previous experience of working in a museum is not required, and you do not need to have any academic qualifications.

This role suits someone who enjoys turning a creative event vision into reality, with a keen eye for detail.

We are looking for someone with experience of delivering large, complex or high-profile unique events within a public-facing venue, with a strong focus on ensuring an excellent visitor experience, working knowledge of health and safety legislation, and event compliance requirements, and excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple events while navigating tight timelines and complex logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver a diverse range of events, from corporate hires to public programmes, ensuring safety, accessibility, and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Coordinate with the Senior Events Manager and other team members; be a visible, proactive presence on the ground during events.
  • Manage multiple events simultaneously, navigating tight timelines and complex logistics to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and event-related requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering large, complex, or high-profile events within a public-facing venue.
  • Strong focus on visitor experience and customer service.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple events concurrently.
  • Working knowledge of health and safety legislation and event compliance requirements.
  • Previous museum experience is not required.
