Overview: The coming years represent an unprecedented time for London Museum as we build a New Museum for London in West Smithfield. The historic collections are moving to both new and existing displays and stores. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale collections move and develop your experience of collections documentation, management and care.

Responsibilities: The post holder will play a crucial role in leading a small team of Project Assistants in the daily preparation of collection loads, working to a prescribed order and tight deadlines, ensuring accurate location control and tracking of hazards in transit. You will be working alongside and supervising one of the UK’s leading transport contractors and supporting the work of the Collections Move team.

Qualifications: We are looking for a committed and proactive individual with experience in working with museum collections and collections management systems to join our team of collections management professionals working to achieve a complex move and installation programme. We are looking for someone with line management experience and a good awareness of how to create and maintain a positive working environment in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment.
