Responsibilities

  • Assist patients in rehabilitation activities in collaboration with an Occupational Therapist.
  • Prepare adaptive equipment used during treatment and support patient activities.
  • Document therapeutic activities and details of patients' progress.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited school for Occupational Therapy Assistants is required.
  • Certification/Licensure: Licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant by the South Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy and registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required before seeing patients.
