MUSC Health – Lancaster Medical Center in Lancaster, SC is seeking a board certified or board eligible Oncology/Hematology physician to help grow a newly established practice. Physicians will coordinate patient care and manage the treatment of cancer diagnoses in collaboration with providers in MUSC’s Division of Hematology & Oncology located at Hollings Cancer Center (HCC) in Charleston, SC.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient care and manage treatment of cancer diagnoses in collaboration with MUSC’s Division of Hematology & Oncology.
  • Follow National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines in patient management.
  • Operate within a community-based, multidisciplinary approach to provide high-quality, compassionate care.
  • Join a team of providers dedicated to expanding access to transformational cancer treatment in South Carolina.
  • Work at one location: MUSC Health - Lancaster Medical Center, with call coverage through a network of MUSC physicians.
  • Utilize Epic EMR; on-site lab and pharmacy; participate in a collaborative leadership and medical staff environment.
  • Opportunity to establish local clinical trial offerings in collaboration with Hollings Cancer Center.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be BC/BE in Medical Oncology/Hematology.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Oncology/Hematology.
  • Experience in a community-based practice is a plus; ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

About the Opportunity

The community-based practice has a streamlined, multidisciplinary approach to patient care. The position includes a brand-new oncology clinic within the infusion suite and service area with a population of approximately 100,000.
