The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

My client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to be based out of the North East region with a proven track record of delivering small/medium-sized quick turnaround projects ideally within secure/restricted environments utilising both in-house labour and specialist Sub-Contract support. The project types are varied ranging from standard M&E works to construction and civil works typically within an existing commercial/industrial setting.

The ideal candidate will be a forward thinker with high standards and able to scope out works to assist in the production of compliant bids, whilst being capable of managing multiple projects at any one time. Solid client facing skills are required to develop opportunities through client interaction. Whilst a construction/Trades background is essential, they are flexible on which discipline, i.e., Mechanical, Electrical, fabric.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Efficient delivery of multiple construction projects whilst maintaining the highest levels of Health & Safety compliance.
  • Working closely with the regional Project Manager to deliver client solutions.
  • Management of in-house resource and sub-contract labour.
  • Attend scope meetings/surveys to understand client requirements.
  • Compile information obtained from scope documentation/surveys to assist in production of compliant tender submissions.
  • Owning multiple projects at any one time.

Essential requirements for the role are:

  • Full UK manual Driving License.
  • A good level of IT literacy.
  • Recognised trade qualification.
  • Demonstrable project management experience.
  • Good commercial understanding.
  • An understanding of Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace.
  • To have a flexible approach to meet deadline requirements.
  • ECS/CSCS card.
  • CITB SMSTS/SSSTS Enhanced Level (EL1) Clearance.
  • Able to pass DBS and Higher security clearance.
