PartTime/ Full Time Living History Interpreter
Murton Park is looking for a Part Time/ Full Time Living History Interpreter
The role
- To deliver all aspects of our school living history learning programme on site, in schools and online. Working individually, remotely or as part of a team, to act as support or lead character. Actively develop and maintain a good level of appropriate subject knowledge. Care for and maintain props, materials and costumes to ensure a high standard of presentation.
- High levels of record-keeping required.
- To undertake the delivery of the museum learning and engagement programme for the public and museum visitors. Within and out of season.
- To work on Reception/Front of House as required
- To undertake other duties when required to support the maintenance/upkeep of the site
- To assist the site with the holiday programme as required
- Offsite work may be required (education outreach program within schools)
The person
- Clean Driving Licence required
- Willingness to work remotely
- Educated to Graduate/Post Graduate level/Teaching qualification
- Good level of subject knowledge
- Enhanced DBS disclosure
- Uphold staff / site policies where required
- A team player with a can-do attitude
Rate of pay: £12.35/hr
Hours: a typical day is 8.30am-4.30pm
