Are you looking for a position with an immediate start, in a fast-paced environment? We now require a full-time permanent CNC Operative to work night shift, Monday to Thursday, based at our site in Middlesbrough. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing quality machined & cut steel parts to customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Operation of plasma arc, oxyfuel & CNC machinery.
- Opportunity to train on other machines.
- Drilling / machining experience would be advantageous.
- Working in a heavy engineering environment.
- FLT / overhead crane experience preferable.
- Safe use of all machinery at all times.
- Working to tight deadlines.
- Accurately complete production paperwork.
- Mark incoming steel with unique identification data.
- Pre-pick steel plate ready for production, move plate to and from stock and move plate to and from process equipment using remote controlled overhead cranes.
- To carry out a variety of different duties if required, as set by the Night Shift Supervisor.
- To maintain the company's health & safety standards at all times, including general housekeeping duties such as keeping your workstation tidy.
- Dressing and grinding of profiles and inspecting the quality of all products prior to packaging for dispatch.
- Load and unload vehicles.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- A positive attitude and are willing to learn more skills on the job.
- Confidence on the job and are happy to take on more responsibility if necessary.
- Experience in profile burning advantageous, but training can be provided.
- A motivated individual with keen eye for detail and good numeracy skills, and an excellent attendance record.
Shift Pattern:
- The role will be weekly night shift 4.30pm β 4am Monday to Thursday.
- Overtime when available.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Night Shift, shift allowance applicable, annual attendance bonus scheme, 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays.
Expected start date: Immediately
Pay: Β£12.60 per hour
Benefits: Free parking, On-site parking
Education: GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
